What is a French 75?
The French 75 is a classic co*cktail that combines gin, champagne, lemon juice, and simple syrup. It’s a refreshing and elegant drink that originated in France during World War I. The co*cktail’s name is believed to be a reference to the French 75mm field gun, a powerful artillery piece used by the French army during the war.
If you love champagne co*cktails, the French 76 is a twist on the French 75. But instead of gin, the co*cktail recipe call for vodka.
