Can you surf at Long Beach, Washington? ›

The Long Beach Peninsula is a great place to learn how to surf, it can dish up some really fun beach break and there's always whitewater for the beginner surfer. Water temps are typically 10 degrees warmer than anywhere else in the area.

Long Beach Surf Guide

Long Beach_4 in Long Island NY is an exposed beach/Jetty break that has consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Works best in offshore winds from the north northeast with some shelter here from west winds.

Seven Mile Beach on the South Coast is an exposed beach break that has reliable surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Works best in offshore winds from the north northwest.

Westport

You'll find it one of the more popular coastal surfing spots in Washington, and often times on the weekends it has the crowds to prove it. But with a fairly easy access by roads and consistent waves Westport provides over 300 days of surfable waves.

NAZARE, PORTUGAL

Nazare is home to the worlds biggest waves, clocking in a record breaking 86ft! What's strange though is that this wave wasn't even on the big wave surfing map up until 2010.
